Lumen series by Michael Taylor
A current passes through copper electroluminescent (EL) wire, causing the surrounding phosphor coating to emit light. The wire is wrapped around the custom-made costumes worn by models or mannequins, and the movements are then recorded, capturing the kinetic energy.

Got to love this limited edition cover of Wallpaper* magazine, designed by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. In it, she is stood next to one of her favourite works, With All My Love For The Tulips, I Pray Forever.
The artwork itself is currently on display at the National Museum of Art, Osaka, where the Wallpaper* cover photo was taken. The issue also coincides with Kusama’s retrospective at London’s Tate Modern until June 5. It will then move to New York’s Whitney Museum of American Art, sponsored by Louis Vuitton, on July 12.
I got a chance to hook up with @iamsu, who I’ve known for a loooong time. We finally got a chance to do a track together and the result is ”Clothes, Shows & Afros”, right here on his new mixtape, KILT.
Make sure you DOWNLOAD KILT… Don’t sleep!
